Lifecycle Manager builds a picture of each of your clients from the tools you already use, then helps you plan and present the work that keeps those clients healthy. Before you can do that, your client data needs to be flowing in and your account needs a few basic settings.
Complete these steps when you first start using Lifecycle Manager. Each step explains what it's for and why it matters.

Who can use this feature?
|
Step 1: Sign in
You sign in to Lifecycle Manager through ScalePad Hub. Hub is your single account for every ScalePad product, so it's also where your team's sign-ins and security settings live. See Signing In to Your ScalePad Hub Account.
Step 2: Connect your integrations
Integrations bring in your client list and each client's hardware, software, contacts, and contracts. Every other feature, from warranty lookups to reports and budgets, runs on that data. Connect the tools you use to manage your clients. Once they're connected, Lifecycle Manager syncs with them automatically, so your data stays current.
To decide which tools to connect, see Connect your integrations.
To add them, see About the ScalePad integration center.
Before your first sync, choose which of each tool's clients to bring in. Every company you sync becomes a client in Lifecycle Manager, so leave out prospects, former clients, and anyone else you don't manage.
See Client Mapping: Connect clients from your integration to clients in ScalePad.
Step 3: Add your company details and branding
Your account name, website, logo, and brand color appear on the reports and Deliverables you share with clients, so adding them now means everything you send looks like it came from you. Your regional settings (currency, date format, time zone, and fiscal year) control how numbers and dates display, and your fiscal year sets the quarters used in reports and goals.
See Configuring General Settings.
Step 4: Add your team
Give each team member their own sign-in instead of sharing one. Roles control what each person can see and change, so everyone has the access they need for their job and no more. Add team members and assign their roles in Account Settings > Users and Roles. We recommend adding at least one other Administrator, so someone can always manage your account if you're unavailable.
See Manage roles and permissions in Lifecycle Manager.
Your account holds sensitive information about your clients' environments. If your team signs in with an email address and password, turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) in ScalePad Hub to protect it.
See Managing Multi-Factor Authentication for Your Users.
Step 5: Review your clients
Lifecycle Manager matches clients across your tools by name. If the same client has a different name in different tools (for example, "Acme Inc." in your PSA and "Acme" in your RMM), it appears as two clients, each with only part of its data. Reports, budgets, and Deliverables for that client would then be incomplete. After your first sync, check your client list in Account Settings > Clients and merge any duplicates so each client's data is in one place.
See Configuring client settings.
Step 6: Assign your licenses
Paid features are licensed per client, so a client only gets them once you assign it a license. Assign your licenses to your top clients, the ones you plan to work with first. Do this after you've merged duplicates, because some licensed clients can't be merged into another client.
Step 7: Set your hardware replacement values
Lifecycle Manager uses two settings for each type of hardware to plan replacements. The maximum replacement age decides when an asset is flagged as due for replacement, and the replacement value is the cost Lifecycle Manager uses for it in Budget Forecasts, Initiatives, and reports. Set them to match your own replacement cycle and pricing, so the recommendations you share with clients reflect how you work. You can override them for individual clients later.
Set them in Account Settings > Hardware, on the Hardware types tab. Click each type's Replacement value and Maximum replacement age to edit them.
