Track service requests in the new UI

Availability: Use the classic workflow below while the new warranty pages are unavailable. The new UI steps in this section apply when your account has Covered assets and Service requests under Hardware.

The Service requests page lists Workstation Assurance and Infrastructure Protection requests you can access. Use the request detail page to check progress and the next available action.

  1. Open Hardware > Service requests.
  2. Search for the request using the available search control. Check the client and serial number so you open the correct asset's request.
  3. Select the request to open its detail page.
  4. Use Refresh to retrieve the latest status when following an active request.

Read the detail page

The Request section shows the summary, service, response level, coverage plan, opened date, submitting user, request owner, and reference number. The problem description gives the troubleshooting context submitted with the request.

Asset and contact identifies the client, model, serial number, site address, on-site contact, and any shipping address. Review these details when coordinating service. Availability of the page and individual workflow actions depends on your account and client access.

Urgent follow-up

When provider phone numbers are available, the Need immediate attention? section lists them. Quote the request reference number when contacting the provider. Use the request's actual service and response level when assessing the expected response.

Replacement and disposal information

For eligible Workstation Assurance requests, the Replacement asset section offers Transfer coverage after a replacement is received. Complete that workflow only after checking the replacement details. A completed transfer is shown as Coverage transferred.

Where disposal information is available, review its status, package, pickup, completion, and download details on the same request. These sections appear only when relevant to that request.

See Transferring warranty coverage to a replacement workstation for the transfer steps. Starting a new request remains a separate action from Hardware > Covered assets > Get service.

For the classic interface, see About the Service requests page — classic UI.
