Start a published Playbook for one client, then use its Run to track the scheduled work. You need Playbooks access for the client and permission to start Runs. Getting access to Playbooks

Preview and start

  1. Open the client, then go to Playbooks → Playbook Runs and select Run Playbook.
  2. Choose the published Playbook and select Continue.
  3. Set the Start date. Under Begin at, choose where to enter the schedule. Starting partway through skips earlier work and moves the selected schedule day to the start date. You can also review the intended Outcome and link an Agreement for reporting.
  4. Select Preview run. Check the dates, skipped work, assignments, warnings, and blockers. The preview shows what the Run will create before you confirm.

Resolve assignment blockers

  • When a required assignment shows Choose a person, select an eligible teammate for that action. This sets the assignee for this Run. The preview refreshes with your selection.
  • If an unfilled role offers an Assign role control, an authorized user can assign a teammate to the client-team role from the preview. This updates the client team. Review the refreshed preview before starting.

After you resolve any blockers, review the new preview and acknowledge overlapping Runs if you intend to start another. Select Start run, then check the Run’s status and scheduled work. If you change the setup before starting, preview it again.

A Run keeps the published version and timezone it started with. Assessment actions create evaluations. Deliverable actions create drafts for your team to review and publish.

Manage an active Run

  • Pause stops the creation of new work. Linked work stays in place.
  • Resume keeps the original schedule. Review any missed items and decide which ones to start or skip.
  • End run in Run options requires a reason and stops future creation. Existing linked work stays in place.
  • Reinstate run returns an eligible closed Run to Paused. Review missed dates before resuming. Completed Runs are ineligible.

Handle attention and recovery

Open the step details or the Actions menu to review its status and available controls. Use Reassign… when you need to change the owner of eligible upcoming work. Work already created keeps its assignee.

Check the linked record or your PSA before retrying an uncertain creation. If the Run remains blocked, contact ScalePad Support with the client, Run, and action details.
