Creating a Deliverable

Deliverables let you create client-ready reports from Lifecycle Manager data. This article explains how to create a new Deliverable for a client and select the sections you want to include.

What you'll need:

  • Deliverable sections are available according to the client's Lifecycle Manager plan. Hardware is available with Essentials; Contacts, M365 Users & Licenses, and Software are available with Pro; advanced section groups require Lifecycle Manager X.

Navigating to Deliverables

  1. Click the client picker dropdown beneath your account name in the upper left of the page.

  2. Select the client's name from the list (Use the search box to find a specific client, if required).
The client's name will appear in the client picker to show which client you're currently viewing.
  1. In the Engage section of the left navigation panel, click Deliverables.

The Deliverables page lists every Deliverable that exists for that client.

When you open a Deliverable, its sections appear in a list along the left side of the editor. Click a section in the list to jump to it and edit its content and configuration.

Creating a Deliverable from a template

Templates can be used to create a standard Deliverable structure across multiple clients, such as a QBR format.

  1. Click + New Deliverable.
  2. Click From a Template.
  3. Browse or search for a template, or use the Source filter to show only ScalePad templates or only Custom templates.
  4. Click a template to select it.
  5. Click Create deliverable.

The new Deliverable opens in the editor, named after the template, with its sections already in place. You can rename it at any time in the editor’s Settings panel. To change the sections or their order after creation, see Adding and configuring Deliverables sections.

Creating a Deliverable from scratch

If you need a custom structure, start from a blank Deliverable and choose exactly which sections to include.

  1. Click + New Deliverable.
  2. Click Blank deliverable.

The Deliverable opens in the editor with no sections and a default name. Click + Add Section to start building it out. You can add:

  • Core sections
Overview, Goals, Roadmap, Budget, Agreements, Assessments, Hardware, Contacts, and Service Quality
  • Custom sections
    Rich Text, PDF, or Image
  • Integration sections
Risk Management, Client Experience, and Documentation

For more on what each section is for, see About Deliverables.

Section availability by plan

  • Essentials: Hardware.
  • Pro: Contacts, M365 Users & Licenses, and Software.
  • Lifecycle Manager X: Advanced planning, risk, client-experience, and documentation sections.

Deliverables can be scheduled on every Lifecycle Manager plan. Sections that require an integration are available after that integration is connected.

Set the name and link client meetings

Use Deliverable settings to change the name or link the report to a client meeting.
Use Deliverable settings to change the name or link the report to a client meeting.
  1. Open the Deliverable and select Settings.
  2. While the report is unpublished, edit its name in the settings panel.
  3. Add or remove linked client meetings. Meeting links can also be changed on a published report.
  4. Check the save status before leaving the editor.

The header shows Saving…, Saved, or a save error. Correct a failed edit and wait for a successful save before publishing. A published report’s name is read-only; return it to the unpublished state to change its name.

Navigate a longer report

Use Collapse all or Expand all in the Sections panel to manage the section list, then choose a section to jump to it. This controls your editor view; it does not hide report content in a presentation or PDF.
