Use a Multi-Site assessment to evaluate several locations for one client in a single run. Answer questions about shared policies once, assess each location separately, and compare each site's score with the client's overall score.
Choose the assessment scope
| Scope | When to use it |
|---|---|
| All Sites | You want one set of answers for the client as a whole. |
| Single Site | You want one set of answers associated with one location. |
| Multi-Site | You want separate answers for each selected location and one set of answers for any shared questions. |
Prepare the assessment template
In an editable assessment template, set each category or item to Client-wide or Site-specific. For example, set a question about the client's security policy to Client-wide and a question about local network equipment to Site-specific.
New items inherit their category's scope. Changing a category's scope applies it to every item in that category, so make any item-level exceptions afterward. Scope changes apply to future assessments. See Building Assessment templates.
Create and complete the assessment
- Select the client, open Assessments under Discover, and click New Assessment.
- Choose a template, confirm the performer and date, and add a title or description as needed.
- Open Scope, select Multi-Site, and choose the locations you want to assess. You can include up to 50 sites in one run. Click Apply, then click Create assessment.
- Open Client-Wide Items, if shown, and answer the shared questions once. Under Per Site Assessments, open each location and answer its site-specific questions.
- Click Mark Complete in each site assessment and in Client-Wide Items, if present. The overall assessment shows Completed when every section is marked complete. Answers save as you work, so you can finish the locations over several sessions.
If Scope is missing, confirm the client has at least two sites. If you see a message that sites couldn't be loaded, close and reopen New Assessment to retry before creating the run. See Conducting Assessments for the general assessment workflow.
Review and share results
Open the multi-site assessment and select View results when it appears. Use Site breakdown to compare each location with the overall score. Use Category scores by site to see where locations differ, then open Items by location to review the answers behind those scores.
Each site's score combines its own answers with the shared client-wide answers. To calculate the overall score, ScalePad CS averages the scored site answers for each site-specific item, counts each client-wide item once, and applies the template's item and category weights. Unstarted sites count toward completion and begin contributing to the score once they have scorable answers.
Provisional means some items are still unanswered. Check both the answer progress and the Completed status before sharing. To export a PDF, open Share and choose Download report.
