Create a manual Agreement in the new UI
The new UI calls contracts Agreements. Create a manual Agreement for an obligation or subscription that is not already represented by a synced PSA record. Check for an existing agreement first to avoid counting the same spend twice.
- Open Agreements for All clients or for the selected client and choose the new agreement action. You can also start from a reusable Agreement template.
- Choose the client if it is not already set, then enter the Agreement name.
- Review the status, category, location, impact, description, and whether the agreement is billable or involves a third party.
- In Billing, set the billing cycle and currency.
- Set the start date and optional end date. Review auto-renew, notice period, and whether to include the agreement in the budget after its end date.
- Add the required Line items. Enter the name, quantity, and price, and review billing type, billability, and any item dates. Check the calculated total.
- Select Create agreement. Open the saved agreement and verify the client, term, billing, and line items.
Dates and pricing
The Agreement's currency and billing cycle apply to its line items. Item start and end dates can define separate periods; an end date cannot be before its start date. A price of zero is a real value and should be used deliberately.
Review current, past, and upcoming item periods in the detail view rather than assuming every stored line item is active today. Auto-renew and budgeting after the end date are separate choices.
Finish a partial creation
If the form says the Agreement was created but some line items could not be saved, select Open agreement. Inspect the saved items and add the missing ones there. Do not submit another agreement just to retry the missing items.
Manual versus synced agreements
You can edit manual details and pricing with the appropriate Agreement permission and access to the client. PSA-synced source fields and items remain controlled by the PSA; make those source changes there. Hiding a synced agreement and permanently deleting a manual agreement have different effects, so review the confirmation before removing a record.
