Saving and managing table views

Saved views and classic recipient sharing

Saved views reuse a table configuration. They do not send the classic Share search message, email or in-app notification to selected recipients.

Account-view controls depend on availability and your permissions. If Everyone in this account or Account views is not offered, use the personal options available to you and ask your administrator about account sharing.

Applying a view does not grant access to another client or account. For the older recipient workflow, see Sharing filtered asset views, which applies where the classic interface is available.

Saved views let you return to a table setup without rebuilding it. A saved view keeps your filters, filter operators and selections, sort order, grouping, visible columns, and column order.

You can use saved views for tables throughout Lifecycle Manager. The Hardware screenshots below are examples; the same workflow applies to other tables.

Accessing saved views

  1. In Lifecycle Manager, open the table you want to customize.
  2. Click Display.
  3. Open Saved views.

The menu lists shared views under Account views and your private views under My views.

Saving a view

  1. Set up the table with the filters, sorting, grouping, and columns you want.
  2. Click Display, open Saved views, and select Save current view as....
  3. Enter a name for the view.
  4. Under Available to, choose Only me. If you have permission to manage basic settings, you can instead choose Everyone in this account.
  5. Optional: select Set as my default to open that table with this view automatically.
  6. Click Save view.

Applying or updating a saved view

To apply a view, click Display, open Saved views, and select it from Account views or My views.

After changing an applied view, return to the same menu and select Save changes. You can update an account view only if you have permission to manage basic settings.

Managing saved views and defaults

  1. Click Display, open Saved views, and select Manage views.
  2. Use the star beside a view to make it your default.
  3. Select a view name to rename it, or open its actions menu to delete it.

If you have permission to manage basic settings, you can also set the default view for the account and manage account views. A personal default takes priority over the account default. Select Use account default to remove your personal override.
