Switching between the legacy and new Lifecycle Manager UI

Lifecycle Manager has a redesigned user interface (UI). During the transition period, you can use either the legacy UI or the new UI, and you can switch between them at any time.

Switching doesn't move, change, or delete anything. Your clients, assets, assessments, budgets, integrations, and reports are the same in both interfaces. The redesign changes how you work with your data, not the data itself.

What's different in the new UI

The new UI modernizes the screens you use every day:

  • Toolbars replace crowded control rows, so common actions are easier to find.
  • Side panels replace full-screen pop-ups, so your work stays visible while you view or edit details.
  • Editing happens in context and saves automatically.

What stays the same

  • Your data. Clients, hardware and software assets, assessments, budgets, roadmaps, and reports all carry forward.
  • Your integrations. PSA, RMM, and other connections keep syncing. You don't need to reconnect or reconfigure anything.
  • Your workflows. Everything you do in the legacy UI has a home in the new UI.

How to switch between the legacy and new UI

You can switch interfaces as often as you need, and the switch takes effect immediately.

  • To switch to the new UI, click Preview the new experience in the legacy UI.
  • To switch back, click Back to Legacy Experience in the new UI.

Anything you created or edited in the new UI is still there when you switch back.

Setting the default UI

Admins can choose which interface options appear for users through the General settings screen of the new UI.

  1. Ensure you're logged into Lifecycle Manager as an administrator and are using the New UI.
  2. Click your company name in the upper left of the screen and select Account Settings from the drop-down.
  3. Click General from the left navigation panel.
  4. Choose the default interface that appears for users:
    • Legacy Interface
    • New Interface
  5. Optionally, enable the switch to Require new interface for all users.
Enabling this will force users to use the new Lifecycle Manager UI and disable the Back to Legacy Experience option (Admins will still be able to switch back and forth).
