Lifecycle Manager Pro and Lifecycle Manager X are separate, standalone subscriptions that you can buy for your clients. This article covers buying a new subscription from ScalePad Hub, or adding more licenses to the one you already have.

What you're buying

Lifecycle Manager has three tiers: Free, Pro, and X.

• Free doesn't cost anything. A client stays on Free until you assign it Pro or X.
• Lifecycle Manager Pro costs $10 per client, per month. It has a 25-client minimum, and you buy it in blocks of 5 clients.
• Lifecycle Manager X costs $25 per client, per month. It has a 10-client minimum, and you also buy it in blocks of 5 clients.

A client is only ever on one paid plan, Pro or X, never both. Pro and X also have separate minimums, so buying X licenses doesn't count toward Pro's 25-client minimum. If you want both, you need at least 25 Pro licenses and 10 X licenses.

One client can be assigned an X license at no cost. This is separate from any X licenses you buy, and doesn't count toward to 10-license X minimum.

How to buy or add licenses

1. Sign into ScalePad Hub at app.scalepad.com and select Billing.
    
2. If you don't have a Lifecycle Manager subscription yet, select See all Products, then select View Plans under Lifecycle Manager. If you already have a subscription, select Manage my plan in the Lifecycle Manager panel instead.
    
3. For each plan you want, use the Number of clients field to set how many total licenses to buy.
   You can't go below a plan's minimum, and each step above that adds 5 clients.
    
4. To automatically license new clients as they're added, turn on Auto-provision licenses and choose whether new clients will be assigned Pro or X. 
   Leave this setting disabled to assign licenses yourself.
    
5. Check the summary at the bottom of the page. It shows your selected licenses, current client count, and monthly subtotal.
    
6. Select Continue to checkout and complete your payment.

After you buy

Buying a license doesn't put it to work on it's own. You still need to assign it to a client.

FAQ

• Do I need a Pro subscription before I can buy X?
  No. Pro and X are independent plans, and you can buy X without ever buying Pro, and vice-versa.
   
• Can I buy just a few licenses to try it out?
  No. X has a 10 client minimum the first time you buy it. You don't need to buy anything to try X though. Every Lifecycle Manager Partner can activate one  client on X at no cost.
