Manual edits in the new UI

Choose a client, open Manage > Hardware and select the asset to open its details. Use the supported editable field controls to add a reporting override; see Manually editing hardware assets for editable fields and permissions.

An in-app override is separate from the source record. Clearing an override lets the resolved source value apply again. Two-way sync can write supported date overrides back only when the relevant integration supports it and its write-back option is enabled; editing another field does not imply that it will be written back.

Use this guide to learn how Lifecycle Manager prioritizes each integration for reporting on your hardware assets.

Which integration types are trusted most

Lifecycle Manager gives certain integrations precedence over others.

What ranks highest is:

  1. Lifecycle Manager In-app edit

  2. Documentation tool

  3. PSA tool

  4. RMM tool

Duplicate entries from the same integration

If you have multiple entries for one hardware asset syncing from the same integration, the most recent record will take precedence.
