To plot out initiatives over the roadmap, you can create them directly from the Roadmap. You can create a quick initiative or enter the full edit mode of an Initiative.
How to create a quick initiative
A quick initiative enables you to get a framework of an initiative on the Roadmap without spending time fleshing out the full details of the Initiative.
Here are the steps to create a quick initiative:
From the Roadmap, click the Create Initiative button.
Select from the list of existing templates (recommended if you know what asset types you'll be adding) or choose No template (a template can be manually added later).
Based on the selected template, select the suggested insight.
Enter or adjust the budget line item and the estimated cost of the line item
Schedule the Initiative to a specified quarter to be actioned on.
Click Create.

Clicking the Create & edit button provides editable access to individual assets in the Initiative, executive summary, and additional budgeting tools. See Populating initiatives for more information. |

Quick Initiative vs Full Initiative
When creating new initiatives from the Roadmap, what is the difference between Create & edit and Create?
Quick Initiative
A quick Initiative (Create) is an extension of suggested Initiatives. These Initiatives are solely based on the mapped Insights identified in the Suggested from Insights section.
based on limited Insights
time saver to provide a framework for an Initiative
cannot distribute assets across multiple quarters
no ability to add individual assets except those in the Insights
Full Initiative
To thoroughly develop an initiative, there are several sections in an initiative that can be completed to provide greater clarity for a client.
provides editable access to individual assets,
ability to edit/modify the entire Initiative
can distribute assets across multiple quarters
Initiative ownership can be re-assigned
