With Lifecycle Manager Scorecards, you can score IT categories using data from Insights with Scorecard items. Scorecard items are specific items that address a particular category in the Scorecard, where the Scorecard itself is an assessment of the client's IT environment.
A scorecard enables you to clearly present key areas of concern, explaining the reasons behind the services you propose in simple terms and in a visually appealing manner.
By using scorecards, you can align yourselves with your clients on the key areas of concern in their IT environment. Prior to discussing proposed solutions, scorecards provide the client with a picture of where they currently stand and what risks/pitfalls they face.
Who is the Scorecard intended for?
Scorecards are an essential tool for anyone who meets with clients and ensures their goals are met, keeps a clean IT environment, and adheres to MSP standards. The following are personas that would benefit from Scorecards.
vCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer): In addition to asset replacement cycles and warranty renewals, vCIOs are often responsible for quarterly business reviews.
Account Manager: Account managers are looking for a repeatable process to use with clients to save them time and increase engagement.
When and how to use Scorecards
While Insights surfaces critical issues, clients can often be overwhelmed by the volume of information presented in strategic reviews. Insights are key elements that can help you create Scorecards and can drive some of the key items of a Scorecard.
Clients don’t have time to grasp the details and may struggle to get aligned on concerns, risks, & opportunities in their IT environments.
Assuming an account manager has an upcoming client meeting, they can sign into Lifecycle Manager and utilize the clients' strategy dashboard to identify any significant deficiencies in their IT environment. Simplifying areas of concern and explaining the reasons behind proposed solutions helps the client better understand the issues.
Default Scorecard View
Scorecards are initially configured with four items based on key insights (if applicable) when you open them for the first time. The following four insights link to the applicable initial Scorecard items:
Workstations with expired warranties
Workstation Warranty Coverage
Servers with expired warranties
Server Warranty Coverage
Beginning with a health assessment of your client, you build out scorecard items to address the areas of concern. Once a Scorecard is complete, you can download the Scorecard as a PDF file and share the Scorecard with your client prior to any scheduled meeting.
Viewing current and past Scorecards
When viewing past Scorecards initially configured with four items based on key insights, those insights will not automatically update. It is possible, however, to update the automated Scorecard items whenever necessary. See How to update automatically generated scorecard items for information.
Editing a past scorecard will cause the Scorecard to be out of sync with the one presented to the client.
Under the Scorecard tab, click the Open drop-down box and select the relevant date-stamped Scorecard.
The Open drop-down defaults to the currently loaded Scorecard.
The loaded scorecard becomes the current view.
