To reduce the amount of information to filter through, both the Client and Strategy dashboards display relevant information, such as the number of assets affected, prominently in each insight notification pane. This way, you can gain insight into all your clients' details without having to search.
Although the Dashboard divides this vital information into several categories, each category's insights surface additional assets that will comply with an Insights rule within 90 days. This ability enables you to plan and budget for those assets before they comply with an insights rule. Forecasting enables you to take a proactive approach to assess your client’s infrastructure environment.
Forecasting of impending non-compliant assets
As the following image illustrates, the total number of assets plus forecasted assets are displayed at the bottom right of each Insight tile for quick reference.
For example, if no action is taken on any of the 126 identified high-risk servers, 4 additional assets will comply with the Insights rule within 90 days.
See Viewing forecasted assets within Insights for additional information on how forecasted assets work.
Utilize impending non-compliant assets in Scorecards
Presenting forecasting data on scorecards provides clients with a clear picture of where they stand and what risks/pitfalls to avoid. Clients benefit from a simplified explanation of areas of concern.
Filtering forecasted assets
When viewing forecasted assets within Insights, it is not possible to forecast assets that do not comply with Insights rules within the specified periods of 30 to 120 days. Planning and budgeting for these assets can be done before they comply with an insights rule.
The forecasting feature allows you to estimate the number of assets that are likely to comply with the Insight rule within a 90-day timeframe. By understanding the forecasted asset number, users can make more informed decisions about when and where to make informed decisions.
Not all assets can be forecast
For any assets that cannot be forecast (e.g., Microsoft Office that is not cloud-based or Assets without endpoint protection), a blank line is displayed.
