Your Hardware console is where you'll find everything you need to know about each and every hardware asset under your management. Navigate here by clicking Hardware in your left-hand navigation bar.

Within the Hardware console, there is functionality that enables you to explore asset details further and share information with others.

Hardware asset details

  • Hardware value - Hardware value is the estimated hardware replacement value of your current assets. The figure is based on your Hardware replacement settings.

  • Hardware assets - Hardware assets are the total number of hardware assets under your management. They're divided into Supported, Due soon, Overdue, and Unknown.

    • Supported - This asset is currently under warranty

    • Due Soon - This asset is currently under warranty, but the expiry date is within your Due soon threshold.

    • Overdue - This asset is no longer under warranty. We recommend our warranty coverage to extend its warranty, or hardware replacement.

    • Unknown - There is no warranty lookup data available for this asset.

Search filters

Whether you're looking for a specific hardware asset or a list of workstations with an unsupported OS, the search filters are useful to narrow down what you're looking for.

  • Search bar - Enter any string of text to return any matches.

  • Replacement status - Filter your results by hardware replacement status.

  • Type - Filter your results by hardware type.

  • Serial - Filter your results by those with or without Serial Numbers.

  • OS status - Filter your results by OS status.

  • Integrations - Filter your results by integration.

  • Applicable issues - If you have any active items on your Issues page, filter your results based on those issues.

  • Warranty availability - Filter your results by warranty availability.

  • Hidden assets - This filter is only applied to the asset list view when clicking the number of hidden assets on the lower-left corner of the hardware asset list view. You can toggle between Visible assets and Hidden assets.

Hidden assets, Insights, and DMI

Insights and DMI should reflect a realistic assessment of your client's environment, so Hidden assets count towards any applicable insights and your DMI score.

Downloading hardware asset data

You can take your data offline by downloading your filtered view into a spreadsheet. To do this:

  1. Set up your filters as per above

  2. Click the blue arrow icon on the right-hand side of the screen

As long as you have added an RMM integration to ScalePad Lifecycle Manager, additional asset information is available in the downloaded spreadsheet. The additional information is: Processor Manufacturer; Processor Model; Memory (GB); and Storage (GB).

Asset list view

The Hardware console displays relevant information, such as the asset type, asset model, asset age, purchase date, and the warranty expiry date on each row to reduce the amount of information to filter through. This is important information about all your clients you would otherwise have to search for.

While the Hardware console summarizes asset information, clicking into a hardware asset from your Hardware console enables you to view asset-specific details, such as details of its warranty information, or to extend coverage, or a review of which integration is providing data for this hardware asset.

Sharing data

Connect members with specific data, filtered views, or other valuable insights through the Share search button that enables members to message other members with the same page details. To do this:

  1. Set the filtered view you want to share

  2. Click the Share search button to display the Sharing filtered asset views screen

Now that we've covered the Hardware console in detail, check out the Software console to learn more about your clients' software assets, ensuring they're in top shape.
