If you’re noticing some of your hardware assets or clients aren’t syncing into Lifecycle Manager—and you believe they should be—you may need to adjust your sync settings. This article describes the required steps to ensure that all hardware assets and clients are syncing into Lifecycle Manager.

Search by serial number
Our recommendation is to search for the serial number of the device you are looking for in the Hardware console before logging into your remote system and reviewing its Types and Statuses. In some cases, assets may appear as duplicate entries to another asset whose serial number is the same. If the serial number isn't found when searching, the listed steps are recommended.

  1. Navigate to your affected remote system.

  2. In your remote system, review the Types and Statuses of your missing hardware assets/clients.

  3. In a new tab, sign in to Lifecycle Manager and visit your integration sync settings.

    1. Navigate to Integrations and click on your integration

  4. In your Lifecycle Manager sync settings, verify that your Types and Statuses from your remote system are mapped correctly to sync into Lifecycle Manager. This may include but is not necessarily limited to:

    1. Asset statuses

    2. Client types

    3. Client statuses

    4. Assets with and without serial numbers

  5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your changes and initiate a full sync of your data to Manager.

The following example image of ConnectWise Manage integration is an example of what you might see when you adjust your sync settings for hardware asset types.

If you see hardware assets/clients syncing over to Lifecycle Manager that aren't intended to sync over, you can change this in your sync settings for your particular integration. Depending on your integration, this step may look like:

  • Setting the Lifecycle Manager Asset Type to "blank"

  • Clearing the check-box for that particular hardware asset type/status, or company type/status

Once you've adjusted your sync settings, your hardware assets/clients should appear in Lifecycle Manager when the data sync is finished.
