To view client-specific insights

  1. Navigate to the Clients console

  2. Click into a selected client on the Client console

  3. Click into a predefined insight from the Client Dashboard

The information available to view for any Client insight is configurable. Table columns can be included or excluded according to your needs, making the console more flexible.

Accessing Client Dashboard from Strategic insights
Clicking into a Client from the Strategy insights displays specific insights about clients and their Digital Maturity Index.

The insight title is indicated in the drop-down menu of the asset list console.

Additional information through configurable columns includes:

  • Person assigned - The user assigned to the asset

  • User - The last logged in user on that asset

  • Location - The client name to which the subsequent metrics belong.

  • Type - Types include Server, Workstation, Virtual Machines (VM), Mobile, Network, and Imaging.

  • Manufacturer - The asset brand

  • Model - The asset type

  • Processor - Processor model and manufacturer

    • Processor information is included in the spreadsheet export as two separate columns which are:

      • Processor Model

      • Processor Manufacturer

  • Purchased - asset purchase date

  • Expires - Warranty expiration date

  • Memory - Available memory on assets.

  • Total storage - Total storage on assets.

  • OS - Provides the operating system and release version.

  • Renew - Indicates whether ScalePad warranty coverage is available for assets.

  • Initiative - shows if an asset is included in an initiative

Filtering client-level assets

Any field you choose can filter data, whether you're searching for a specific asset or a list of workstations with an unsupported OS.

Filtering by Insight

By using the Insight filter, you can see a list of Insights so that you can switch between them. The Insight filter dropdown includes all Lifecycle Manager pre-defined and any Personalized Insights.

  1. You will see that the applied filters on the universal console hardware page match the policies associated with the insight you selected.

  2. The asset list in the console is pre-filtered according to the policies associated with the selected insight

    1. Policies are used to create insights or filter the console data (i.e.,. age is greater than, manufacturer is equal to).

  3. The displayed columns align with the data points associated with the policies for the insight the user selected.

When you switch Insight filters, the console is pre-filtered according to the policies associated with the selected insight. The asset list and columns auto-adjust based on the selected filter.

Filtering forecasted assets

A Forecast filter enables you to see a list of assets that will be compliant within a specified time frame that ranges from 30 to 120 days. You can add forecasted assets to existing Initiatives.

  • Now - viewing assets that comply with an insight's rule.

  • 30 days - includes assets that will comply with an Insight's rule within 30-days.

  • 60 days - includes assets that will comply an Insight's rule within 60-days

  • 90 days - includes assets that will comply with an Insight's rule within 90-days

  • 120 days - includes assets that will comply with an Insight's rule within 120-days.

Once you’ve identified issues in your client’s infrastructure, you can convert automated client insights into client-ready recommendations which your clients can approve with one click.

Manually adding assets to Initiatives from the Hardware console

The Hardware console allows you to add assets manually to Initiatives.

Assuming you have been reviewing the “slow workstations” insight, which identifies workstations over 5 years old, you may plan different actions for distinct assets. For example, you may designate some assets identified as slow for warranty renewal instead of replacement.

Additionally, if you have a workstation replacement Initiative scheduled for next quarter, some of these identified workstations may already exist in that Initiative, but not all of them.

  1. From the detailed Insight asset console, select the Is not in Initiative data point filter

  2. From the detailed Client Hardware console, select the desired assets to be added to an Initiative.

  3. Click the + Add to Initiative button.

  4. From the Take action on this asset dialog, under the Add to heading, click + Existing Initiative and select from the list of existing Initiatives.

  5. Once the desired Initiative is selected, click Finish.

Once you add the selected assets to an Initiative, the filtered list adjusts automatically. You can redirect any remaining assets that have yet to be added to an Initiative to a separate Initiative for warranty renewals.
